Monroe Actors Stage Company (MASC)
is a Community Theatre located in the Historic Capitol Theatre
in downtown Waterloo, Illinois. Serving Southern Illinois and the greater St. Louis metro area,  MASC produces five shows a year with the purpose of bringing enjoyable — and affordable — live theatre to the area’s residents.

Conisdered the best play about World War Two that is funny touching and at the same time an honest portrayal of real life among our troups in theSouth Pacific during the War. Mr. Roberts is a well liked  supply officer who keeps the ship efficient in its behind the lines duties. But he longs to be in the action and works tirelessly to get a transfer. He is thwarted by a tyranical Captain who resents Roberts and his pampered upbringing.  This is one of MASC biggest cast of all but one man. Join us for the antics of the crew aboard the USS Reliant
