Veronica’s Room

By Ira Levin
Performances: April 11-13 and 18-20, 2008
Auditions: February 10 and 11, 2008
Director: Warren Frank

Susan and Larry have been enticed to the Brabissant mansion by the Mackeys, a charming, elderly Irish couple who are struck by Susan’s strong resemblance to Veronica Brabissant, the long dead daughter of the family for whom they work.  Susan is persuaded to impersonate Veronica for awhile to provide solace to the only living Brabissant, her addled sister who is living in the past and who believes that Veronica is alive and angry with her.  But once dressed in Veronica’s clothes, Susan finds herself locked in the role - or perhaps she is Veronica, in 1935, pretending to be an imaginary Susan.
